Finally Some Pictures!

This last Saturday was a big day for our project. A concrete mixing truck was donated to assist us in pouring the floor for the Catemu house. It came bright and early Saturday morning. Christian and I spent Friday night in Santiago working. So on Saturday morning we woke up at 5:30 to make it to Catemu on time for the big event. The benefits of pouring a floor with a concrete truck are endless. First and foremost, I didn´t have to mix any cement in our tiny little cement mixer. However, contracting a concrete mixing truck for the job is also a little stressful. The truck only stays at the site for one hour. So when they get there, it is ready or not. The mix is also a fast dry concrete, so once it is poured it is go go go. I actually love the go go go spirit in construction. Normally the project moves along slowly, problem after problem. We got to the site and started working like little ants in a farm. It was SO nice to tackle and conquer a huge portion of the project in only one hour! And now that the floor is done you all know what that means.......

My digging days are officially over!!!!!

That is right, I am putting my picota out to pasture. We had some good times and we had some bad times, but now that everything is said and done, well who am I kidding, I won´t miss it at all.

The pictures I am attaching are of the cement pouring fun. The two sisters Milka and Moyra are the future residence of the house and quit enjoyed the excitement of the Saturday morning activities.
